Ogdensburg PBA Backs Walczyk 4 Assembly

“Assemblyman Mark Walczyk has a proven track record of ‘backing the blue’ and the entire Ogdensburg Police Department is proud to endorse him for election to the State Assembly,” said Detective Dave Lebeau, President of Ogdensburg Police Department PBA.

“Since being elected, he has kept his promise of being a fierce advocate for the North Country and standing up for our values, along with law enforcement.  We look forward to continuing to work with Assemblyman Walczyk to keep our City safe.”

State Assemblyman Mark Walczyk announced Monday that he has earned yet another endorsement as he continues his reelection campaign.  The Ogdensburg Police Department Patrolman Benevolent Association (PBA) voted unanimously to endorse Walczyk.

The Ogdensburg Police Department is made up of nearly two dozen sworn officers.  These brave men and women walk the beat every day.  They continuously put their safety on the line to protect residents of Ogdensburg.

“Years ago, when I lived in the Maple City, it was the Ogdensburg Police Department that kept me safe at night. The same officers are protecting the community from dangerous criminals, deadly drugs, and mischief everyday.  I’m beyond grateful for the Police Benevolent Association's endorsement,” said Assemblyman Mark Walczyk.  “I’m looking forward to building upon the relationship with the PD as we both work towards our common goal: keeping Ogdensburg safe and a great place to live, work and raise a family for generations to come.”

This endorsement from the Ogdensburg Police Department Patrolman Benevolent Association is the latest in an ever-growing list of support Assemblyman Walczyk has earned as he seeks his second term in the Assembly.  Walczyk has been endorsed by NYSUT, the state’s largest teacher’s union, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73, CSEA, one of New York’s largest unions, the NYSTPBA, the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Association and the New York State Law Enforcement Officers Union, Council 82, Local 2390, the New York State Police Investigators Association, the NRA and North Atlantic State Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 277.
