North Atlantic State Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 277
“Mark Walczyk understands the needs and values of working men and women, and he will be a strong champion for the labor movement. The NASRCC endorses Mark Walczyk as a proven leader who will fight for us in Albany,” said James Mason, President Local 277.
As he continues his campaign for reelection to the State Assembly, Assemblyman Mark Walczyk announced Thursday that he received the endorsement of the North Atlantic State Regional Council of Carpenters.
The North Atlantic State Regional Council of Carpenters is comprised of 28,000 members, including those of Local 277, many of whom reside in St. Lawrence and Jefferson Counties. The Carpenters work tirelessly every day for the betterment of their members.
“I’m very excited to receive the endorsement of the Carpenters Union. In order to see our region thrive with new solar farms, housing, manufacturing facilities, and schools, we need the professional builders who make it more beautiful every day. I’m honored knowing the Local 277 has my back while I’m fighting for them in Albany,” said Assemblyman Mark Walczyk. “It’s important that we do better at encouraging our youth to join trades like the Council of Carpenters. We're proud of the work Assemblyman Blankenbush has done on the 'Learning for Work' Task Force and I’m looking forward to passing some applicable legislation that will help achieve this goal."
